could be parasites or some kind of infection, usually when a bird plucks out it;s feathers something is itching or burning..take to the Vet since we can only guess.

definitely take him to see the vet. he probably has an infection and needs medication.
By the way, I have a cockatiel named Mojo too. Weird!!

It sounds like he has a bacteria in his hindquarters. He needs a vet for a proper examination.
