I ejected a CD I was previously listening to, then inserted a CD I'd just burnt. The new CD wouldn't play so I thought something just wrong with the CD but now it won't eject. When I press the eject button nothing happens, it doesn't sound like it's even trying to do anything. Does anyone know how to get the CD out without having to take it to the shop?

take it a part ! It's not that hard .
disconnect the battery
remove unit out of the car
place it on the table
remove screw , make sure to note which screw go to what spot (notepad helpful)
be careful when you try to push the disk out
then reassemble the unit
reconnect the battery

Look carefully around the slot where the CD goes in. Do you find a hole, about the size of a paper clip? If yes, straighten a paper clip and insert it in the hole and push, gently. This should eject the CD. Perhaps you put it in upside down? Easy to do when there is no label.

Another trick worth trying...Take a business card or thin piece of paper and place it in the slot then hit the eject button. When you feel the CD hit the paper remove the paper and your CD will come with it.

My brother had this problem, and disconnected his battery for a short time. It reset the player and he was able to eject the CD.

Other than that, you'd probably have to remove the player.

Try to spray cleaner in it...when that fails take it to a friend. If the friend can't do anything take it to a co-worker. If that doesn't work bring it to Best Buy. If that doesn't work take it to the dealership.
