Worked for me. I had smoked a pack a day for many years, and then quit about 18 years ago. The first session didn't work because I didn't follow the hypnotist's instructions. The second time, I followed those instructions exactly, and it worked. There's a bit more to it than just being hypnotized once. Be prepared to get rid of all smoking paraphernalia in your environment. You'll also probably be instructed to increase your water intake (many symptoms of nicotine withdrawal are actually caused by dehydration...plus, drinking more water is better than eating more food when you are trying to quit).

Best wishes!

I have smoked for 35 years and attempted to quit last Janurary. I lasted 9 months and gained 35 pounds from pacing the floor and stuffing my face with junk food to keep from screaming. I restarted in October because I was going insane and getting fat. I did make some changes though-I only smoke outside so I have to think about if i really want one badly enough to go out in the cold. Since you have been smoking for only 2 years you may not be as severely addicted as a long term smoker. Good luck on quitting.

oh yes, it can work for some people but others maybe not so fortunate. There are evidence that shows Hypnotism works to stop many things like helping people get over their fear of closed space and getting people out of depression from documentary shows, so hynotism also can work to get people out of smoking. Why don't you try it yourself if you are curious enough and see how you go. Never mind the bills, just for a few sessions and see if any miracles happen

Hey, I can say " YES" it does work.
I was a chain smoker and smoked from 4 to 5 packages of Pall Malls per day.. I smoked for 22 years
I went to a Doctor that hypnotized me, walked out of his office, threw the package of Pall Malls in the gutter and never touched another one.. That was back in 1970..
You must want to quit. You must get a good doctor to do this to you. It takes about 45 minutes all total.
Good Luck. The doctor was from Peoria, Illinois by the name of Dr Thompson.. I doubt if he is even there any more.

Studies on this have had pretty mixed results. It does look like hypnosis helps some people with smoking (though a study in 2006 found that it is more likely to help men rather than women -- women typically have a harder time quitting than men in general, though). It's definitely worth a try! Can't hurt, and may help!

What really works is commitment. It's like when you want to lose weight, you have to stick your mind to it and just do it. If you have even the slightest doubt, then nothing will work. I stopped smoking 6 years ago, and you have to be really commited, that's it, no need to spend money in it.

YES IT DOES, the only draw back is you can go back to it again..My Son,Wife and Daughter went through it..With my Wife and Daughter it lasted about 3 months and with my son it was over a year.. They tell me you have to keep going to have it done every so often, or lisson to tapes all the time..I dont smoke but know its hard, and feel for you.. GOOD LUCK ROB

A friend of mine had good luck with it. She's quit for about four months now. I'm considering trying it myself.

I have a couple of friends it's worked for. The bottom line is you have to be motivated to quit; it won't make you motivated but will help you.
