There are lots and lots of fishing in Georgia...it is where the World Record Bass was caught. George Perry caught it in Jacksonville Georgia. There is a big sign I've been there. I caught two 14 lb Bass.
Anyhow, the DNR has lakes all over Georgia and you need a license and permit to fish the park. All the fishing you want.

Yes. Of course, you can fish the coast for saltwater. That would likely include redfish and speckled trout, small sharks, etc.

You can fish the Altamaha River. I believe it has great shellcracker fishing, as well as good flathead catfish. I would imagine the Chatahoochee has good blue catfish fishing.

There is good fishing almost everywhere.

NO, I've been fishing in GA lakes for years, and have never caught anything!!

Clark's Hill, just north of Augusta, has a pro tour stop now. I have friends that catch quite a few large mouth, striper, and hybrids.

lake lanier is good for crappie and strippers its near mig georgiea i think
