When the French FIRST came to the us: How did they immigrate, were the french affected by The Dual Labor Market, Affirmative Action, Double Jeopardy, Discrimination, Glass Ceiling....Did the group face prejudice?

The french first came to the americas in the 1600s under King Louis X!V (the 14th). They colonized louisiana and canada. They later lost Canada to the british and sold (or lost ) louisiana to the spanish.
Since then, there has been no major French immigration the the states. Yes, there are immigrants, but nothing like the Irish, Italians, and currently Hispanics and Asians.

The best would be to go to immigration and ask if they have any files on this or check in your library..there are answers there as I have seen somthing on this before.
