No, they arent safe. And another reason to not get one- your homeowners insurance price will go up- and that is assuming that they dont drop your coverage entirely, which is what many insurers are doing. And if you think you can get around this by not telling them you have one, well, prepare to not be covered when someone gets hurt- and if they get hurt bad or killed, be prepared to lose your house in the settlement... they are just a real bad idea in general.

When I was younger, like 10 years ago, we had a trampoline. They didn't make enclosures back then and we never got hurt on it. Our parents always watched us and made sure that nothing got out of hand. Nowadays, with the enclosures, I hear of more kids getting hurt with them than without due to the poles and it is just netting to keep them in. They are really good exercise for you and your children and we always really enjoyed them. Good Luck!!!

First off, it is horrible for the knees.
Second, check with your insurance Co to see if having one will raise your rates. Some companies won't even insure you with one.
Third, the enclosures are not meant to use as a wrestling cage --they will break (happened to me twice).
Other than that, they're a blast. Good luck.
the enclosures do help, you just can't too crazy.

I would recommend it. Just make sure the net is fastened properly and that your kids close it while they are jumping. If you are still worried about safety, tell them that they are not allowed to do flips or other dangerous tricks. The rule should always be that your head has to stay above your shoulders...ensuring no broken necks.
Be sure to have some supervision available. Good luck.

True they are good for exercising but even with the enclosure (the cage) around it yeah they wont fall off but they could catch there leg on the springs or sprain their ankles or something like that.
If you do get them one just make sure they are careful and be outside with while they are on it.

I think you should get an in-ground one. The saftey nets really aren't that safe. You could fall and bang your head on the poles, or get your head stuck in the netting and choke yourself. With an in-ground trampoline you can't fall off or bang your head or choke yourself. Plus it is much easier to mow the grass with an in-ground, becuase you dont have to move it every week; you just mow around it.

Yes and No ! I had to take mine down because my home owners insurance would not cover me with it on the property. the encloser is good because you cant fall off onto the ground but you still can fall on your head and neck on the trampoline itself. Check your home owners Insurance !

"Safe"? No. Safer? Yes, a lot more safer.
Gotta use your judgment here. Depends on whose going to watch them while they're on it; or will they be on it with no parental supervision? Depends on their age. Depends on how many on it at a time.....
The list could go on and on and on. "Freak" accidents are called that for a reason. They could fall walking out the door and have tragedy strike. You can't isolate them, but have to balance that with their fun and safety.
