When you hit the power button they do not turn on they just hum. The tv's are sv2000 not sure of the brand name but they are wal-Mart christmas specials therfore are not a major name brand. I believe something has happened electrically with them like a surge because i also have a PS2 and a V-smile that no longer power on either. They all happened at different times when they went out. If it was not electrical surge than the most likely culprit is a 2 and 4 year old sons as one of the tv's and the 2 game systems happened in thier room. The other tv went to **** in me and my wifes room but while a nintendo system that my son playswas hooked up to our tv. Any help is greatly apreciated

2 identical models showing identical symptoms, most likely have identical circuit failures.
Doesn't matter what was hooked up when or whatever, although when dealing with a 2 and a 4 yr old, anything could have happened, and probably did. Bring them into a reputable TV shop and get an estimate.

Did you recently have storm in your area?? Could be that you had a power surge enter through the cable system and affected all of your components. Only true way to tell is have your cable provider come out and verify that the signals are good at the house, and at the tvs. Trust me, I know as for I do this each and every day. Cable is my business so I believe that would be your best option. IF it is diagnosed that your cable is fine, then you will need to check out your tvs. It also wouldn't hurt to get a power surge protection unit from your local power company, if available.

Sorry to hear about your problem, and hopefully using this suggestion will help you pinpoint your problem.
