Cats can see themselves . . . but they do NOT recognize that they are looking at their own reflections.
So they see . . . another cat.
My dumb-dumb dog does this. He barks and gets all aggressive (I call it the "line backers" stance.). He see the image, but has NO CLUE that it's him.
That's why people put mirrors in bird cages. To keep the little birdies company!! :-)
That's the difference, really.

No, all cats are vampires. And vampires cannot produce a reflection in a mirror.
You are kidding, right? Of course cats see their own reflection. The only cat that would not is a blind cat.

oh yes, absolutely. Cats can see themselves in the mirror. Sometimes they stare at the mirror for quite a while and even do poses! The Complete Book of Pets shows a picture of a cat looking at the mirror trying to do a good impression of a smart intelligent look to please it's master. If animals have such imaginative minds like cats trying to speech english and mice goes surfing, i'm sure they are able to comprehend themselves in a mirror

Some cats seem to be able to see it. They may slap at it or hiss at the reflection.Other cats won't even look at the reflection, like they don't notice it or see it. So to make along answer longer, I don't know.

Yea, why not. My cat attacks the mirror because she thinks its real, when its only a reflection.

Yes I am sure of it. I have one who also likes to sit in front of the mirror watching me in the reflection as I get ready in the morning......she is a bit strange.

when I first got my kitten, I swear he could. He would try to play with himself, LOL. Now, he doesn't even seem to notice that he is 1 and a half years old. So, my guess would have to be probably no, they don't, or they just don't care? They seem oblivious to lots of stuff and are very picky about what they spend their time on.
They're such Divas! (Even the males)

Yes. My cat actually goes nuts when she sees her reflection and tries to attack it. It's pretty hilarious.

The reason for this is really quite simple, he can't smell the reflection so it has no real meaning to him.
