is 300 crunches every day, for 3 months, a good punishment for my 14 yr old daughter?
she left the house without telling me and went to some guy;s house.
i am her mother and i want to make her be in pain so she never does that again.

300 wow that is a lot to make her do. She will be in better shape and look better which may not help with the boy problem. I think that is too many to make her do per day.
You defiantly have to do something, I understand that but then when she is 16 and does something wrong, are you going to make her do 500 per day. She have to start with something smaller so as she gets older you have some where to go with the punishment.

I don't think pain is the answer personally. Your daughter has to realize and know when she has done something that is wrong or against your rules and why it is wrong and how it will affect her. She is much too old now to just be told not to do something... she will experiment to see why not, and then it will be too late in some instances. Do you have a good relationship with her? Aparently not, or you wouldn't be having her do "crunches" Crunches are just going to make her more attractive and make her feel much better about herself, and she still won't understand why you feel it is wrong for her to leave the house without your permission. Reasons among which it is dangerous.. she could be killed

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! That is a very STUPID punishment! It far exceeds the "crime" she commited. There should always be some reasonable relationship between the bad act and the punishment meeted out. In this case, there is not! This kind of corporal punishment will drive a wedge between you and your daughter, and possibly the next time she will just run away. Rethink the issue, and come up with a punishment that fits her "crime". Jeeeeez, what makes some parents so mean and punitive, and overreact like this?

I think doing crunches is good for a young girl like that. You might be doing the right thing. Do you know what she was doing at the house? You might want to ground her from the phone or the computer or something she likes a lot. I hope I helped you!

It sounds like too many to do at one time. Useing something good for her as punishment will back fire. She may never want to exercise again and end up over weight and out of shape instead. Use something else as punishment like taking away TV, computer, radio time as well as grounding her.

What are you trying to do, give her a hot bod, the boys will start to flock.

Have you tried grounding her, taking away her phone, friends, and other fun stuff, and where ever she goes you are there following her? That stuff worked for me when I was that age.

Give it a try

that will give her washboard abs in 3months and you will suffer more because she will be hanging out with the boys more if that happens!
