How long have you been doing yoga? It will take time. But stretching is the only way. Don't do a quick 5 minute total stretch, rather, spend at least 5 minutes per muscle group. This has to be a regular event, or your muscles will retract very quickly. Try doing a good stretching session twice to three times a day, you will see dramatic increases. But don't be discouraged when you don't do the splits within the first three days. Stick with it, and you will achieve the results you desire.

I had that same problem. Just stretch any chance you get. Try to touch your toes and keep your knees straight. Don't over do it though, because you might pull a muscle. Just stretch and hold it for 60 seconds, (that's what I had to do with my brother because he has CP). Good luck.
