Italian is pretty easy if you know a bit of spanish.. Its almost the same with a lil bit of a twist! if you want to know how I learned to speak many languages easily, I got a spanish dictionary,.italian and french, start with one at a time though. everyday, read one page, write a sentance in that lanuage using the word on the page. like first word example"Alto" meaning tall. You can write, "El nino es muy alto" the boy is very tall... etc etc. do that with one page a day (or week) and hang it on your door and read it every day till you memorize the word then move to the next page!!! it works so great! I learned fluently spanish in two months! then, you gotta put it to practice, or you can forget it easily!! hope this helps.. good luck!

Italian is a fairly easy language to speak if you are aware of other languages and their rules. I guess as someone who is a fluent Gaelic Speaker you must be ware of different ways of saying things and grammar you have those mutations in Gaelic as there are in Welsh??
The Italian language is phonetic so once you know how letters work they always work that way. Grammar is easier than most languges but there are of course exceptions to the rules. If you can sing you wiill be good at Italian as you need to find a rythmn when you speak it.
I would say knowing some Spanish as you would find it easy.

If you can speak a little Spanish you'll have no problem with Italian. Some of the words are the same or very similar. Italian is great too for English speakers as the words derive from latin which allude to similar words in Engish. For example veloce, like velocity in English and it means speed.

Why not give it a try?

Buon fortuna

It's not that difficult. Since you know some spanish it should be quite easy for you. I've taken a few courses at my local university at night & found it very enjoyable.
