Lavendar or plum would go great with silver/grey carpeting. Go with a purple with blue tones in it since some purples have red tones in it and it will most certainly clash. I would do your trim in a creamy color such as antique white. Don't do stark white since you will lose the warmth of the room.
For accessories use different shades of the purple that you are using as well as darker greys, sage greeens and some cream as well. Try to stay away from pure white.

Silver will go with about any color excepting the brown tones. It depends on what mood you want to set. If the room is small and you want a cool feeling use a nice green or to open it up and make it feel airy. Pink is a nice inviting color - and there a re many shades to choose from. My personal favorite is lilac. You need to use what you like after you look at different colors. You can buy small little bottles of paint to try on a patch of wall to see how you feel about that color. If you don't care for it - try a different shade or even a different color

Silver is pretty neutral. It really depends on what color you like. Pick one you love, and you can't go wrong.
You could do pink or red. Very 50s Hollywood.

just like the other said...probably u mean gray...if that so....you can paint the color baby blue with some light green in it....or you can just paint it pink(if you're one of the girly girls)and it looks cute....
or maybe baby blue it helps you to relax

Light pink or blue is pretty, or even white. You might check out some new wall paper patterns, as wall paper is coming back in style.
