Some dogs are really pretty, but have difficult temperaments, for example Welsh Corgi's can be savage, Poodles psychotic and Jack Russels likely to turn on their owners.
If you are going to choose a dog of your own, check out what breeds suit single people, families e.t.c.
Or get a sad little mutt from the pound whom everyone will adore.
Though I'd have to say, for a pedigree, Springer Spaniels are the most loving, energetic, sensitive and beautiful dogs on the planet.

Dachshunds. They are also the most stubborn, have total attitude, but will love you to death. I have a mini and a standard, and they are a joy. Of course, you will NEVER get to go to the bathroom by yourself again, but it is a small price to pay for a companion that will love you for the rest of its life.

All puppies are really cute! I have a mix of Half Cocker Spaniel and Half Golden Retriever and those kinds are really cute!!!!! Long haired dachsaunds are really cute too!
