Hey, i hear ya, at 17yrs old i woke up to a small bald spot on the top of my head, right before prom. No joke, i thought my bf's psyco sis did it. It didnt even have stubble so i went to a dermatologist. I found out there i had alopecia areata. I was told to rub the spot with hydrocortozone cream, and was prescribed some steriods.(i dont know how you feel about certain meds) I also did the sea kelp thing, within a few weeks i had this horrible cowlick, but hey i knew then it was only temp. Im 26 now with a good head of hair but i know that alopecia can come and go so i wish you the best and good luck!

Try Nioxin. It's a scalp therapy treatment . It was made for chemo patients. you can find it at any hair salon or beauty supplly store. I just have very thin hair that hardly ever grows, until I started using this stuff about a year ago. Now I have to trim my hair regularly, and I love this stuff. I highly recommend it. I use it twice a week, you could use it daily, but it's expensive at about $40.00 for the big bottle. I didn't notice any results until after two months, but since that time I swear by it. Good luck, I hope it will work for you if you decide to try it. I think they have a website. Oh, also you may want to add a packet of Knox Geletin to a glass of juice or water and drink that . They say it's good for hair and fingernail growth.

hopefully its just a hormonal thing and everything will settle down in time. my hair started falling out after i had my son but thankfully it started growing back after about 6 weeks. i hope this is the case with u as well.
the only thing i did was 2 use hot oil treatments every 3-4 days, i don't know if that helped at all but my hair did grow back. i know what ur going through and although its easier said than done - try not 2 get stressed and try not 2 worry about it too much as i can assure u it wont help matters.
good luck. :)

Hiya,
Poor you, you must be feeling awful. In my humble opinion you need a course of iron as well as kelp. Kelp just helps to make it grow faster, it doesn't get to the core of the problem.
I would buy a course of iron with vit c, or failing that, take multibiontia capsules that have everything you need to keep you in tip top condition. My son has ME and he swears by them, as do I.
If after the course of these your hair still needs some help, boost with iron alone!
Good Luck and l;et me know if you need any help!

I recently read an article in a beauty magazine that highly recommended a product called 'Folligro'. It's a natural herbal based remedy containing fenugreek. Apparently it's normally £29.99 for a month's supply and the UK number, open 7 days a week, is 0800 121 8206. I've never tried it but read many positive things about it. I hope this helps and good luck.

If I may suggest, visit a good Chinese doctor; beware, not charlatan!
When I visited China, a Chinese doctor told me that I lost my hair because one organ (possibly spleen) was not functioning properly! The Chinese doctor can prescribe some herbal medicine and I have seen results!
