Men want sex because we're designed to continue the species and we like to practice at almost all ages. Yes its fun and a whole lot of other things both emotionally and physically.
If/when we have sex and we feel more than a physical attachement, then we want to get mentally closer to the woman afterwards.
Without sex, eventually, we're gone.

Let's be real here. Sex is Fun and good for what ails ya!! Feeling closer depends on were you want the relationship to go;i.e. one night stand or a more long term thing. I personally like to enjoy the moment and the experience of the sexual escapade. but that's just me i guess!!
