You need to be active in your government. City, state or federal, it doesn't matter. We as citizens have a civic duty to keep our legislators in line.
Also, volunteer. There are many organizations out there that need you and you would make a difference!

Stop votiing for democrats and republicans! and green peace parties! Did not anyone notice that kerry and Bush are pretty much one in the same? o wait isnt that like every election. People just need to start caring again. I run into sdo many people who just DONTCARE about politics and there society. People need to teach, learn, be more aware. The media needs to stop being bias. Society needs to change as a whole.

I agree with the others when they say to be active and vote. If you don't, you have no room to complain. Educate yourself and vote for a candidate who has the country's best interest in mind. Granted, that list is short, as greed and power are rampant in politics (Rep. and Dem.). Write your local congressmen. Mine are always eager to hear what I have to say, even if we don't agree on issues. They know I'm here and aware of what they are doing.

i think the only way to keep this country improving is by continually pushing the envelope and questioning those in charge.education on issues is very important.it seems that the dumbing down of america has worked very well over the past 25 years.people dont even seem to get outraged by the most vulgar actions done by our government

Because taxation has an affect on almost every issue almost every other issue.

To improve themseleves is the best way to improve the society. As Holey Qura'n says, " God does not change anything to people before they want". So it is our responsibility to improve ourselves first then the society.
