I have a 16oz fresh veggie juice (beets, cucumber, garlic, parsley, carrots, spinach, ginger, celery) for lunch each day. I really like it but I don't know if it's safe, maybe too much sugar? I eat a typical dinner with protein, veggies, grains.

Natural sugars in vegtables are not the problem with this drink. Are you making it yourself? If not check the amount of sodium in it. If you are restricting salt that need be a consideration.

Otherwise, this is better than anything other than purified water.

South Beach Diet, which pretty much restricts your carbs to nil, recommends a glass of V8 as part of breakfast, so pretty safe bet not a lot of sugar.
