I don't know if you can. Aristotle pointed out that as human beings, when we act, we act towards what we believe we'll insure happiness (at the basest, for ourselves, but others will act to bring happiness to others as well). Happiness is good. The problem of evil is that it is twisted good. The word sin comes from the Greek word 'hamartia', which is an archery term that means "to miss the mark". To sin is to miss the mark you were shooting for; i.e. goodness. That's why people aren't always aware that they're being bad when they do bad things because they believe they are doing good.
The more self-aware know that they're doing bad, and so if you know you are doing bad, then you are doing evil. Are your actions bringing pain to others? Do they violate other people's rights? Do you feel like you're doing wrong? Those would be good indicators.

If you, or someone you know, feel evil coming on, you should try to change your way of thinking. There are many good self-help books at the public library. If it cannot be controlled by the individual, they should really seek out counselling--before it gets to the point of no return.

What do you consider to be evil? And do you think 'evil' or act 'evil'?

I got your picture, I got your picture
I'd like a million of you over myself
I want a doctor to take a picture
So I can look at you from inside as well
You've got me turning up and turning down
and turning in and turning 'round
I'm turning evil
I think I'm turning evil
I really think so
Turning evil
I think I'm turning evil
I really think so
Turning evil
I think I'm turning evil
I really think so
Turning evil
I think I'm turning evil
I really think so

The hallmark of "Evil" is Selfishness. The more selfish and uncaring you are for others, the more evil you are.

There's no such thing as "evil". There IS a such thing as corruption. And to avoid that, one must train themself to keep their ego in balance.
