Honey..... the ONLY way to do that is to be patient.... TIME and just living your life. Many people who are in their 40' and 50' are in the same boat as you are! Still haven't figured those things out either.
Be smart, make the best decisions you're able to with all things in life, BELIEVE in yourself and your abilities, be willing to learn, follow your heart but be smart about it, stay true to yourself! All of the simple common things in life are all very worth while, try to enjoy them as you go and don't rush through your youth!!!
Finding out who and what you will come in time. I'm 41 right now and in many ways am still deciding what I want to be when I'm grown up! I had a late start in life in many ways and that's ok!!! LIFE is not a competition and its not about money or stature. Experience it wisely and try to enjoy it as you go through it, your answers will come to you WHEN they are supposed to.
:)

OK Listen carefully without judging or thinking I am saying something that I am not saying. I am not trying to be mean.
What you are doing by asking this question is trying to pigeon-hole yourself so you can "fit in" to your environment/society/ culture. Don't fit you to life or try to fit life to you. You simply have alot of hard work that you are avoiding doing. Do not over analyze this and become mental..Your intellect will fail you when you need it most. There is reality and perceived reality..so playing games with yourself and worse not taking meaningful action is tempting and DUMB. We are human beings...not human doings. Do you see? You have some time on this world left..Time changes things incrementally and profoundly.. live that reality. The best state instead of an extreme of ease or pleasure is to achieve balance.Stop trying to maximize every last little thing and not enjoying what there is available while putting a balanced amount of effort to have better. There will always be the point of diminishing returns and its worse then not "trying enough" How many times have people been on the verge of success and quit..and yet how many have put everything into it and ruined the entire opportunity. DO you see where extremes do not work? Seek balance and keep working, but not for the sake of effort itself.

I love to hear younger ones ask those profound questions!
Why? So many just go through life not contemplating anything The 19th-century German poet Heinrich Heine confessed: “I owe my enlightenment quite simply to the reading of a book . . . the Bible. It is quite rightly called Holy Scriptures. He who has lost his God can rediscover Him in this book.” —Heinrich Heine, 19th-century German writer.
During that same century, antislavery activist William H. Seward proclaimed: “The whole hope of human progress is suspended on the ever-growing influence of the Bible.”
The English author Charles Dickens wrote concerning the Bible: “It is the best book that ever was or will be in the world, because it teaches you the best lessons by which any human creature who tries to be truthful and faithful can possibly be guided.”
Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States, called the Bible “the best gift God has ever given to man . . . But for it we could not know right from wrong.”
British jurist Sir William Blackstone highlighted the influence of the Bible when he said: “Upon these two foundations, the law of nature and the law of revelation [the Bible], depend all human laws, that is to say, no human laws should be suffered to contradict these.”
***********************
I found, though a systematic study of Holy Bible (Holy Scriptures) is the best way to build a foundation that will last.
After studying on my own for some time I was approched in Indiana by Mike, who was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He simply asked me if I would like to have my own personal Bible study. Although most of the time these people are misrepresented it doesn't mean that the message they bear is not beneficial or true. We live in a world where there is much ungodly influence and do well to check out things for ourself before being influenced on the uninformed and ignorant.
Depending on where you live you will likely find a Kingdom Hall (called such as here you learn about God's Kingdom and it's future for obedient mankind) in close proximity to your home.
You are more than happy to email me with your city and state and I will send a list to you.
You have a purpose in life. We all do, however, some chose to look a little deeper than most.
“Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need, since the kingdom of the heavens belongs to them." -Matthew 5:3

When I was 17, I started praying, and began to receive the mort profound realizations. I asked for guidance, and for a force of higher consciousness to come into my life and reveal to me my true calling and purpose. The key is, even if you think are are alone, you are not. Your thoughts and prayers are being listened to all the time. So let go of any believe that you are asking into an empty nothing out there, and ask the universe for what your heart really wants as if there is an omnipresence, compassionate listening, always waiting for you to communicate your needs. The Universe responds to your intentions!

Your purpose in the world most likely is like everyone elses, to be a productive person in the community and to set a example in your life that might effect someone else in a positive light. They all say to look to god for your purpose, but he is the one that gave you the dna you have to make yourself useful in society, but he wants you to find your way to do that.

This is what everyone, everyday is trying to figure out. You will be doing this for the rest of your life. You change so much in your life that what you want today you may not want in 5 years so you are continually searching. it's not a bad thing. Who i am today is not who I was 5 years ago and I'm sure in 5 years i most likely wont be the same as I am today.

Just keep persistently asking your self the questions and write down the answers. As they change, over time, you'll be growing into what you want to be. Just keep being honest with yourself and your feelings, and keep taking on new challenges. You will find your way. And remember, failing occasionally isn't such a horrible thing, even though it seems that way at the time. And remember to keep doing things for others... it will help you in many unexpected ways.

Those are good questions. Since I haven't found my so-called purpose in this world at 35, I am the last person to give an accurate answer.

Never give up on asking the question: Who am I?
As you keep asking this question, you realize that everything you thought you were is actually qualities that someone else placed on you and you accepted as your self. Through practice, you can learn to let go of this ego-shell, and find the pure Awareness that is the real you. I would suggest the links below to help you on your journey.
And one final note on finding who you "want to be". Be the artist of your life - follow your passion and be of service to others and you shall be forever content.
Good luck on your journey.

investigate. investigate everything. With as much information as possible, a choice is easier, and better formed. In regards to religion and career, just find out as much as you can, talk to as many people with different opinions as possible, write things down- it helps to think when the facts are laid out in front of you. Find out what you love to do, who you love, and what determines whether or not you love it/them. There are no specific questions to ask to 'find yourself', but by figuring out what you believe, (love, religion, career-wise etc) you WILL figure out where you stand in life- because purpose and self derives from basic beliefs and opinions that you reach on your own.
