My restaurant have been tradinng for over 20 years in essex, a new restaurant opened with few yards of my premises and directly affecting my business. Is there any legal action I can take against the directors for damaging my business?

It's called capitalism. If you can't compete, then you must have an inferior product. Up the ante, do something to draw business in. You can't just whine about competition.

It's called free market economics and you have to compete on price or quality. The latter usually wins outright although the former may give a Pyrrhic victory

It's capitalism. Compete or die! They're not damaging your business, YOU are! If you can't compete then you should try another line of work.

Unless you can prove that they are utilising illegal anti-competitive practices (such as selling food below cost) then there's nothing that you can do.

If competition were illegal, Ford would have put Vauxhall out of business decades ago!
