The couple to be married do not drink, but wish Chapagne for everyone else for the toast. The question is is it proper to order extra? If so, how much?

I'd say 15-18 bottles and no, the guests usually don't get a refill since this is purely to toast the bride and groom. It would be proper for them to order it from the bar if they want more to drink.

For one toast (one glass of champagne per guest) 1 bottle of champagne per 8 guests = 12 bottles. There may or may not be a bottle left over depending on who else wished not to consume the alcohol. It would also be advisable to purchase 2 bottles of non-alcoholic sparkling cider for those guests who may not drink champagne.

In champagne flutes, 5 glasses per bottle.

In wide float glasses, 8 glasses per bottle.

Daytime? Extra champagne? Sure, why not? What could possibly go wrong?

There are roughly 5 glasses in a bottle of champagne, so I would order 20 to allow for spillage.

If they are having a no-host bar (tsk tsk), then yes, order at least twice that so that people can have several glasses without having to pay for it.

Good luck in the wedding and marriage! : )

3 cases or 36 bottles will get you by without going overboard or seeming cheap. That will be enough for 2 small glasses per person and since some obviously don't even drink, the ones who come to weddings to tie one on will have enough to do so..Cheers
