The reason people do not know the difference between to and too, is due to the poor education provided here in America. Students today do not receive the proper education in grammar to really understand the difference. Really, unless one is lucky enough to get an adequate amount of grammar, it isn't until student go to college and take a fundamentals of English grammar class will they be educated in the ways of to and too.

Thank you!!! Apparently we are TOO undereducated TO use these words correctly! Most people don't use YOUR and YOU'RE appropriately either. I am glad someone else is bothered by this!
