Okay my mom is 41 years old and she likes this 21 year old guy but the problem is i like him too! He doesn't like her like she likes him he just wants to be friends with her, and i haven't even told him about how i feel, but should i tell my mom he doesn't like her like that or should i just tell him how i feel and tell her and see how she reacts? I don't want to hurt my mom especially over a guy but should i ignore my feelings?

You mom has already made known to you and him that she has feelings for him so why would you purposely hurt her by going behind her back and telling the guy you like him? Crushes come and go. ( I know mine sure dose). The same guy you are really liking right now may be the one that you look at in a few months and wonder "what was i thinking" Would you really want to think that about him and also have to think that you dissed your mom over him too? Like it or hate it, she's your mom and she will aways be. Guys are everywhere. maybe you two should find separate groups to date in.

You should both tell the guy to get lost and start over at some level of sanity. Moms and daughters should not be competing over the same guy. Bad news any way you look at it.

The odds for a long happy relationship between a 41 yr old woman and a 21 yr old guy are slim at best.

Being legally an adult age does not automatically make someone mature and your Mother, at 41, should realize the difference.

First, I don't think you mom is too old for him. He's 21 which means he is legally an adult. It boggles the mind why men can date younger, but when a woman does..its BIG NEWS!

Also, in order to keep the peace, I would keep my distance from the guy. If your mother likes him and he finally gets the balls to tell her he's not interested, she will be hurt by the rejection.

And (somewhere in the future) to discover that her daughter is dating the guy that she liked, will only push the rejection sword in deeper.

There are a lot of guys out there, find someone else.

Stay out of it! It isn't up to you whether or not she's too old for the guy or not. It's her decision, not yours. She's old enough to handle her own relationships. Talking to him about it and talking to her about it separately is just going to cause problems and you don't need to put yourself in the middle of it.

I think you should tell her that he just wants to be friends with her and then ask her if she would be o.k. with you dating him. I'm sure she'll be fine with it because she would want you to be happy. Don't just tell him how you feel and wait to see how he reacts because you would probably really hurt her feelings.

Why does your mom like him? For you? Or is it paedophilia? The age gap is huge.Dont bother regarding your mom's feelings especially if they are not reasonable.
