Princess is really sick. I dont know what to do. She keeps throwing up even when she doesnt eat anything. It is also really hard to get her to eat. She just lays around the house all day long as if she cant move. I would take her to the vet but I dont have the money.

call the vets around where you live and tell them your story.

Sorry to say but if you cant find a vet who is willing to let you make payments or volunteer for reduced services then your pet may become sicker.

You really need to have a vet diagnose what is wrong with your dog. What you are describing could cover a multitude of illnesses. They could range from a simple obstruction to a build up of fluid from various causes. She needs care and prescription meds.

The only over the counter med I can recommend is Pepcid AC 2x daily. But even that shouldn't be taken without a vet's say so.

Please at least trying calling a vet's office because sometimes they will give you recommendations over the phone.

Good luck to you and Princess.

Call the SPCA or the Humane Society. Many people will rescue a dog or help if you ask.

If they blow you off, then call around to the veterinarians. Some will do charity work.

If you cannot pay for a pet's health care (and fyi health insurance for pets is about $300 per year) then you should consider giving the pet away because you are financially unable to care for it. While this sounds cruel and mean, the pet cannot get up and go to the vet themselves. So they depend ON YOU and if you don't have the means to pay for a vet, you should not own a pet. it's only fair.

I called the vet one time when my pup was sick and he said to give them a little bit of pepto bismol.. it's the pick stuff for people but it worked awesome for my dog. you don't want to give them a lot if your dog is bigger than try a tablespoon. Just call your local vet and explain the situation and he will give some tips. some vets even have payment plans like where you have to pay them monthly instead of having to pay it all upfront but I think that depends on where you live. but really try the pepto bismol and u will be shocked. My dog was throwing up, not eating and than sh**ing all over the house because she couldn't hold it and that stopped everything. good luck

If she has been sick for more than a day or two!.... take her to the humane society... you wont get her back but they will take care of her. If this is a new development try home treatment... no food or water for 24 hours... then give her 1-4 table spoons of water... if she keeps that down, give her more in about another 1/2 hour, then if she is still fine ... offer her a little rice.... Give her a little at a time and don't allow her to gorge herself... once she can keep rice and water down try to add some chicken... and gradually you can wean her to her regular food... Don't let it go on too long though... you don't want her to suffer.

Don't listen to those first two answerers...there's no reason to kill off the poor dog! But you do have to do something for her. You should probably take her to the humane society, where they will take care of her and then put her up for adoption. If you don't have the money for a vet's visit, then your dog should probably find a new owner...I'm sorry, but if you think about it, it's what's best for her.

There are things you have in your home I am sure you can do. If you call the local vet they might can work something out with you. Sometimes things that can cure us can help the pets in our lives also, but always ask a vet first.

Try contacting a local animal hospital. If they say you need the money, try to raise money by starting a club or ask your family/friends for donations. If that doesn't work, try selling some of your stuff in yard sales or on eBay. Best Of Luck for you and Princess.

Call different vets to See if they can handle charity cases. We have one here in Portland, Oregon called the "Dove Lewis Animal Clinic" They do strays and even held runaway dogs and cats on the 4th of July.
My best to you and I hope your dog gets okay.

Your dog could have worms. Go to walmart or any local shopping center and buy some worm medicine it's cheap. You could see if that helps. I not saying that is the solution to your question but I'd give a try. I breed and raise dogs and sometimes when they need to be wormed that is how they act.
