cuz they don't? They hide their feelings so deep down u will never ever find it. Well it they loved their girlfriend then they WOULD watch. Chick flicks aren't all love, there's drama. And usually about 3-4 girls or whatever. Idiots. Heaven forbid a movie isn't all male except for whores or some love or "action" I don't like the term chick flick! Girl movie* It sounds dumb but at least it isn't offensive. Guys are visual, psycho and like fun. But actually ilmaas44 is right, it was on MSN. Keith is right, so shallow! So is smilingontime, actually they do it for sex too, sweetie. Unless they are an older couple. Guys are stupid, and think they have to be macho when in fact being guys, normal guys but yet DECENT is the way to go. The more macho, the less they have/are so thery have to front. Like a sports car for an old guy or a guy w something small. As far as I know, and It's true that, besides the small thing I mean.

It's not so much that guys hate the MOVIES, it's more about what they represent and how the ladies perceive them as the truth behind relationships.
I'm a guy and I'll admit, I enjoy 'He's Just Not That Into You', I think 'Titanic' is a well made film and a special effects spectacle (despite the very sappy ending being bulls**t). That being said there are chick flicks that are absolute bulls**t on how women see them, which can be relationship threatening. These films include of course, 'Twilight', 'P.S. I Love You', 'Remember Me', 'The Vow', '50 Shades of Grey' (which is basically a sappy rip off of 'American Psycho', just give the guy more money and its a romance film I guess), and of course the Holy of Holys, 'The Notebook'!
Now women watch these and BELIEVE that these are relationship examples to follow and what she needs. Men dont do that with their movies. Sure a guy may watch F&F, hope in his car and think he's Vin Diesel, but don't you ladies find that annoying?

I like good films. I put Fried Green Tomatoes (a chick flick) in there as one of them. If there's a story worth telling I'll watch it.
However, men know shallowness when they see it which is why we don't watch many chick flicks. There's too many of these shallow microwave dinner movies being made. They all have no heart, no substance and are usually centered around shallow women with shallow needs.

Because the chick flicks are usually relationship-oriented. Whether the relationship is family, business, or romantic, there is always TONS of emotion--something most guys dont want to show.

Because chick flicks usually don't include killing, monkeys, midgets, or none of the other stuff that's fun to watch.

If guys liked them they wouldn't be called chickflicks. They can't help loving their spouse or girlfriend which has nothing to do with watching a movie about love.

I'm a girl and hate chick flicks. They are soooo sappy and predictable. Give me zombies and underwater creatures any day!
