Oh my, the Oloffson... that brings back memories.

When I was teaching at l'ecole Ste. Trinite in P-au-P, I used to walk up to the Oloffson every night for a couple of Rum Punches... they had the best ones in town... or just the occasional Prestigé beer on that beautiful varanda.

It seems like I heard that both the Oloffsons are dead now, but perhaps not...

At christmas, students from the school used to go up to the Oloffson for a Christmas concert and they would pack the house.

Is the bar area still as small as it was then? You couldn't fit more than about 20 people in there.

Thanks for the memories.

I've stayed there many times, as a tourist at first, then on thursday nights for the music when we lived there.
It is almost two hours to drive back up to Kenscoff from centreville, so I would rent a room for music nights. Fun time.

Tourism in Haiti is a bit hampered right now by all the political turmoil. Here's hoping that it bounces back!
