You can substitute, but the overall flavor may be altered a bit. Kosher salt doesn't contain iodine (table salt has iodine in it) and the iodine may adversely react with one of the ingredients in your recipe.
However, if you do substitute table salt for Kosher salt, use half as much table salt since the grains are smaller than that of Kosher salt.

I substitute regular for kosher all the time...just use less regular salt, about 1/2 of what is called for with the kosher. You can always add more later, unless you're baking. If that's the case, the salt is mostly for flavor enhancement anyway.

Kosher salt is coarser than regular salt, which means the grains are larger. I doubt if the recipe would taste the same with regular salt. It would be better to make a run to the grocery before cooking this dish.

Kosher salt has more flavor than table salt. You can taste the difference. It's also healthier. By all means, use Kosher or sea salt when cooking with salt.

"Regular" salt may have Iodine added. That will give many foods a metallic flavor and can ruin the flavor of many foods. Check the label on the salt boxes when you buy. Kosher salt is the pure stuff, so you can use it for cooking.

the only difference the koshers salt the grain is different but the taste is the same so you could use it
