Can I subsitute with regular salt?

Kosher salt is a requirement for the Jewish diet. If you are not bound by religious restrictions, then regular salt should be ok.

If its an ingredient...yes. Since table salt is finer than kosher, you need to use less. Probably about 2/3 of what is called for.
