Well it's hard to say. Toyota and Honda are your best cheap transportation. A lot depends on how well cars are taken care off. Maintenance is the key to how good a car is. Driving habits is a factor too. There is no automobile made you can abuse and expect it to last. Cars are made better these days. Imports have the best standings as far as dependability and low maintenance.

Toyota and their high line version Lexus have been holding the top rankings for about the past 8 years.
Both hold top honors due to different thinking compared to other car companies. Toyota spends more in development and engineering then others do. They are innovative thinkers.
And its not just cause they are from Japan...the new Camry is designed and built in the USA. It is just their way of management and thinking.
Lexus is best in high line cause they don't offer new models every few years. Instead they have the same models over and over but every few years they are refined. Lexus listens to their customers and to the mechanics and makes changes so the car only gets better and better over time. Instead of new car models with bugs in them every few years like all the other car makers.
The Toyota Camry is the best car out there due to this same reason. The Camry started out way back in the early 1980's and is still going today. The reason is they just kept refining the car to make it better and better into what we have today. It is why GM, Ford, etc can't compete.

The best auto every made was a one-off custom by some guy. He took a Semi Tanker trailer and made it into an ocean-crossing amphibious vehicle. Lets see a Porsche make it from California to the Canary Islands without the use of a boat..

Dollar to performance ratio is unmatched.
4 door sedan that will embarrass many cars in terms of speed, handling, cornering, etc costing 2-3 times as much.
But not too confortable, which is the only downside

this is question that is down to personal preference, what is a perfect vehicle? everyones perception of being perfect or being the best differs from person to person. What is your fave vehicle and why? i am sure it will differ from my fave vehicle, and the next persons and the next persons and so on.if your talkinng about sports cars then i would say the mclaren F1, if your talking about luxery i would say the maybach
