Well acknowledging that you have a problem is a good start. I start to rub my tongue over my back teeth when I get angry. If I do that then I know that I am angry and have to start thinking rationally so I can avoid confrontation. Keep an eye out for your tell. If you doing it then you know that you are about to do something you will regret. If you still act after that then you have no one but yourself to blame. If last nights incident hadn't happened you would be fine right now. So a punch that lasted less than a second will haunt you for years. Where as walking away would have pissed you off for an hour.

I had the same problem(except I have never hit my parents).
1.Drink a lot of water
2.Go near soemone who you have great respect for him/her(I have my bro)
3.If none of the above helps get a pillow and punch it as hard as you can remember don't hit walls or glasses, it can paralize your hand.
4.The best way to control it, is just ignore it if you express your anger you won't calm down.
I recommend the 4th sollution,trust me!

This behavior comes from the time, You have to control your anger time after time. I think you have to ask someone expert in this issues because this is very serious problem maybe it will effect at your entire life..

If this happens frequently you should talk to your Doctor about Lithium, its a mood stabilizer. Work on your coping skills with the fam and others.

anger management and/or lithium is the best answer, but if you can't get that help right away, you should try digging holes/burning wood, or breaking bottles. music and television is always good too.
