Considering they are like the placenta/fetus of a baby chicken.

Well i guess it would all depend on how you think about it. I raise chickens but i have them for the eggs. THe embryos dont grow until they have been left in the coop for a long while. I know that most of the time the eggs are cooked and it kills the embryos and are okay to eat.

Technically it's not a fetus. It wasn't fertilized so it hasn't started to develop yet. Embryo is more like it. I eat eggs, but if I really think about it, then I get grossed out and don't eat them for awhile. But egg salad or something calls me back eventually.

they're only the placenta/fetus of a chicken it they've been fertilized...that being said, I used to love to eat eggs for breakfast, but after cracking one open that had been fertilized (embryo starting to form on yolk) I can barely eat them now

Didn't start eating them until 6th grade. Thought they were exactly what you said -- gross. Even today when I prepare an egg I always scoop out the white squigley thing connected to the yolk (I just don't want to really know what that is so I never looked it up).

I guess it depends on the person. I know people who have put a hole in the egg and sucked out the stuff with out any cooking, just ate it. I enjoy cooked eggs except McDonalds egg McMuffins.

me n my daughter eat scrambled eggs and omeletts all the time.

but my husband absolutely hates eggs. i have to lie sometimes about what i make so that he'll eat it. he refuses to eat anything that has eggs in it (if he knows about it) all for the same reason u dont like them.

The thought of it is nasty. I love them though. I just try not to think about what I am eating.

Milk, from a cow's udder?

Liver, tongue and kidney?

There's a lot more stuff out there that qualifies as "gross".

I love it all, though.
