Many trees are used for lumber. Pine, maple, cedar are just a few. As for fruits, there are apple trees, blueberry bushes, strawberry plants, orange trees, tomato plants and many many more. Medicines come from a variety of plants: foxglove gives us digitalis for heart problems and aloe vera gives us a gel that's used for skin problems and burns. As for fibers, one of the more well known is the good old cotton plant.

I think the Coconut palm is the most use full overall that I know of. You can use it for logs, planks, thatching, food and drink (both sweet and savoury), vessels and cutlery, fuel (oil and charcoal), hair and skin products, cheap chicken food (in tropical countries), the leaves can be woven it's baskets, hats and even fences. I'm sure there are loads more uses too.
More specific tree uses - Willow for cricket bats, Yew for arrows and Oak for hiding kings in.
