CAUSES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The causes of diabetes mellitus are unclear. Both heredity and environment may be involved. Studies have shown that certain genetic factors may be responsible for diabetes. Genes are chemical units found in all cells, that tell cells what functions they should perform. Genes are passed down from parents to children. If parents carry a gene for diabetes, they may pass that gene on to their children.
A number of factors have been tied to Type II diabetes. These factors include:
Obesity (being excessively overweight, see obesity entry)
Having relatives with diabetes mellitus
Belonging to certain high-risk populations, such as African Americans, Native Americans, Hispanics, or Native Hawaiians
Having high blood pressure (see hypertension entry)
Having an excess or deficiency of certain substances in the blood, such as cholesterol or triglycerides (a form of fat)
TREATMENT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is currently no cure for diabetes. However, the condition can be managed well enough to allow most people to live normal lives. Treatment of diabetes focuses on two goals. The first is to keep blood glucose within a normal range, and the second is to prevent complications from developing over time.

Hopefully there will be a cure soon. I'm diabetic too. I wish for the day that I'll be off everything too. My dream was always to be an astronaut and I got it taken from under my feet. I know that you hate it just as much as I do. I think there are cures out there, I just think pharmaceutical companies want money though. Best advice I can give is exercise and diet. If not for health, do it for the looks. :) And to sunstarr: Sugar isn't always the cause of diabetes. Genetics play into it a lot. Have some respect.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.
I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

In type 2 diabetes, either the body does not produce enough insulin or the cells ignore the insulin
Type II diabetes is associated with obesity and with aging. It is a lifestyle-dependent disease, and has a strong genetic component (concordance in twins is 80-90%). The problem seems not so much in insulin production, but that when the insulin reaches its target cells, it doesn't work correctly.
So unless we get a genetic cure.. no pills are not likely to CURE this type.

There is no cure out there, but the conspiracy theory is amusing.
This is a partially genetically determined disease that relates to the underproduction of insulin and the inefficient use of glucose. It is multifactorial, and thus not curable at this time. But tight glycemic control is extremely important to minimize complications.
I feel for you, because although I'm not diabetic now, I was a gestational diabetic and it was a pain. Good luck.

Near like 3 years, sadly no.
I work on the area and as far as all science developers out there, healing is not even close.
DMII can be cured only after humans learn how to differentiate cells from undifferentiated cells. Sadly this line of research is being blocked by laws dictated on religion basis, you may heard of this, haven't you? they call it stem cells research.
Unless this line, cure is a few decades away. Sorry.

There's already a cure for diabetes if it's caught early enough. It's called not eating refined sugar and starches. Our bodies are not able to process this junk. Basically, it's like poison that slowly kills us.
