OKay told u I'd help. I have a small dog also, a Maltese. The vet told us, (and it does really work) to cook white rice and cottage cheese I'll update the answer when I get the recipe.....
KK got it! It's 1 cup of white rice. cook it. then heat up 1 cup of cottage cheese. Mix it together and give it to your dog in small helpings 3 times a day it helps with throw up I don't know about the rest but just do this for a few days. It took our dog about 2-4 it worked all of the 4 times we've done it. Also our dogs r the same size so it should work

Assuming the vet has determined that this is a viral upper respiratory infection and antibiotics would be useless, it would be ok to do something extra at home to help. The throwing up may be due to a post nasal drip which in turn be a reason for the runny nose. A humidifier would help to loosen up the respiratory passages and provide some relief but it is also important to note that the pet is still eating and drinking well. It is also important to note if the pet is improving or getting worse. In any case keep note of the colour of the discharge. Green is an indication of a bacteria infection happening therefore would need antibiotics. In any case keep comfortable. Notify the veterinarian if any symptoms get worse or if you are concerned.

awwwwwww. poor little thing! If you have a pet care book about dogs, look in there. I have pet care books for my pets in case something comes up and we need to know how to take care of it. I suggest you keep it away from other dogs so the cold doesn't spread and give it lot's of love.

i did not know a dog could get a cold. if he is sneezing, it could just be allergies.
if i noticed something wrong with my dog, i usually just let my vet check them out just to be sure. that's a good thing of having a pet insurance, you don't have to worry things about this by yourself and just let the vet check it. you don't have to pay anything, it's part of your monthly payment.

ask a vet to be safe, but try a steam room, like turn on your shower to a really hot setting then stay in the room with the shower wit your pup.

Let him out in the yard. You will see him start smelling around until he finds the right kind of grass to eat. If you leave him alone he will help himself.

steaming helps, camille or lavendar--> put it (in powder form) in a bowl, fill it with steaming water, and hold his head over it, cover head and bowl with a towel so that the steam goes into his face--> not too long coz then it ets too hot.
make him drink a lot and get him to bed early
