Say I am going to this place this weekend and would like someone to join me. Or I am going to this place this weekend and I need someone to tag along. Or I wish I could do that this weekend but I have to have another person come along or do it with me

One way, jwkymry, is to talk about current movies. Listen to her comment. When she seems interested in a particular movie, ask her if she would like to see together with you.
