Put it on the back porch and add a bowl of beer. The slugs are attracted to the beer. They go in and then they drown. It will keep them out of your cat food.

Feed Your Cat Before Your Cat Goes Outside.

You are probably over feeding the cat. A cat can eat a days worth of food at one time. Anything left attracts all the other stuff you mentioned. If the cat gets a little hungry it will get a squirrel or something.

Leave the food inside, when you cat is hungry she will come for it. Trust me on this, she will eat when she is hungry. Leaving her food outside is a bad idea, attracting raccoons and other animals can be dangerous to your cat. Imagine if you attracted a coyote? You cat could be the coyote's next meal. Your cat won't starve because you keep her food inside. Cats are very intelligent, they know where there food is. Besides, don't you want to see you cat? The cat realizes that her food is inside, and if she wants to eat, she will have to go inside. Keeping it this way you can visit with your cat, and you will keep her safe from other animals that would have been attracted to the food you would have left outside.

Outdoor cats live a *much* shorter life than indoor cats. If she really isn't happy staying indoors, teach her to take walks with you on a harness and leash. (It is *not* like walking a dog; you will meander all over, but seeing the world from a cat's point of view can be fun, too.)

Feed her inside, no mater where you put it, the coons will find it, trust me on this one, as we've had pet coons/ wild ones. A coons nose is very strong, but they have weak eyes. Just feed the cat inside and let it back out. Thats what I do with my tom cat. I'm sure you're cat is smart, when she gets hungry, she'll come to the door.

Just feed her a little at a time. Don't give her more then she can eat. You may have to feed her a few times a day. Be sure she has fresh water available all day.

you should train her to be an indoors and outdoors pet like my cat. that way you can call it in to eat then let him or her back out so it can have its personal space.
