I run 2 laps and walk 2 laps (alternating) around a college-sized football track, I run up and down the stadium bleachers(up and down 30-35 steps about 4x), I do Tae-bo, and various crunches (side twists for obliques, leg extentions for lower abs).. Is this a healthy exersice regimine for one day? It all usually takes about 2 hours. I've been doing this for a few days and I'm a little sore. Am I doing too much?

Also, how long would I have to do this before I can see any results (like a smaller pant size or something)?

I think this is a solid workout regime. However, you definitely do NOT want to do this every day. Your body makes gains during the period of rest. If you are constantly working out, you are only inviting injury, burnout and overuse problems.

I suggest doing about an hour of fitness related activies each day. It can be anything you like, so long as your heart rate gets elevated and you break a sweat. On the weekends, occasionally throw in the 2 hour bout of activity, but doing it every day could be bad -- especially if you are just starting out.

I like how you mix up your activities. This is great as it will help you make gains in a variety of areas.

You may also want to hit the weights occasionally or include stead-state runs (do not stop for 30 minutes). I see you doing a lot of interval work, which is great, but you may want to build your endurance through some longer non-stop cardio sessions.

You'll see results when you being to lose weight. Use a calorie tracker such as http://www.fitday.com (it's free) to monitor your food intake. There's no way for me to say you are going to drop a pant size unless I know what you diet looks like. You can do all those activities every day and eat 3 pizzas at night and still look like Porky the Pig.

Just be patient, the results will come in if your diet is in order.

Good luck.

Well good for you! But, if your sore your doing too much. Try to do at least 30 min. a day. It depends on how fit you are. If your in good shape you may be able to go for the 1 hr. mark and not be sore the next day. You can definetely overdo it. Start off slower and work you way up over time. Being sore will hinder your efforts. Youll begin to lose inches right away during the first couple of weeks. You should notice clothes getting a bit looser. You should lose 2-3 lbs. a week if you are maintaining a healthy diet of more than 1200 cals and less than 2000. 2-3 lbs. a week is dr. recommended. Any more and you are harming your body, and not allowing your skin time to stretch accordingly. Hope this helped. Its not about eating less. Its quality of food, not quantity. I find that I can eat all throughout the day and stay full by just eating 1300 cals or so. Its not hard. You have to retrain yourself. We're opening up a weight loss challenge if youd like to join!

Depends on how active you were before you began this exercise regimine... If you were quite active, then this should be ok. If you were not active before, then yeah it is too much. You are putting yourself at risk for injury if you are not stretching and cooling down properly.

Plus, to be effective at losing weight, you exercise regimine must be something you can keep up... You must ask yourself "How long can I keep this up?" If you are sore, cut back a little... or alternate... Do your running and walking on one day, with your crunches and stuff... and then your stairs the next... and Taebo the next...

Best of luck to you!

Too much is like too little. In your case, too much I think. 45 minutes of exercise three times a week is enough to keep you in good shape. Unless you're planning on doing a triathlon, or the Tour de France or some such. However, if you're a "normal" person, a moderate degree of activity (doing something you enjoy) is enough.
