Well with out more specifics, I would say start with a good tune up. Including a new fuel filter and air filter. At highwat speeds your motor needs more air and fuel, if either of these are dirty it could be starving your motor.

Check the ingnition wires first, my Mercury Tracer did the same thing and it drove me nuts, and yes the gas mileage sucks. This could happen regardless of the make of car. the best way to check the wires is at night. Open the hood while the engine is running and don't touch the wires. just look to see if there are any sparks. But it's a safe bet that if they haven't beeen replaced in the last few years, it's time to retire them. Hope this helps.

I'd change the fuel filter first. Put in fuel injector cleaner, make sure it will remove water too. If that don't solve the problem, have it tuned up. Check for vacuum leaks. Have a computer check. The catalytic converter might be partial plugged. Have a fuel pressure check to make sure the fuel pump is working properly and putting out enough fuel presssure.

Set up your idle, or change your gas filter, or stop using cheap gas...Or maybe just have your vehicle given a tune-up. Maybe your air filter needs replacing on your car or.. spark plugs need adjustments.. Take your car to a Dodge dealer and have them check out the problem for you... Its a way better then having an inexperience fool (yourself) working on something you have no idea what makes it tick.and then costing you much more in the long run.

The first thing i would do is replace my fuel filter, than put thru a bottle of injector cleaner. This may do the trick if there are no check engine lights.

It probably needs a tune up. Could be distributor cap, rotor, plugs or plug wires.
