Start your computer in safe mode. (start pressing f8 button on boot up until boot options menu appears... I think advanced options will allow you to start in safe mode.) Once in safe mode set monitor resolution lower.

start u r pc in Safe Mode by pressing F8 while windows just starts booting. change the resolution to a normal one.

start in safe mode and the START-RUN-MSCONFIG-GENERAL-DIAGNOSTIC START UP
