I agree. If it's a good friend and not just an acquaintance, I would not charge unless the pet has special needs (medicine or something like that). IF the good friend has a special needs dog, I'd go with 10 bucks a day.
If it's just an acquaintance or neighbor, you might charge 20 bucks a day, or if you have dogs of your own, you might consider swapping favors. Never know when you need to go away for a weekend and leave your pets behind, right? Better to swap a favor than charge (and later BE charged)...
Just my opinion.

nicely, I hose/puppy sat for my mom's boss at 17 for 5 days, and that they had 3 dogs, 13 cats (barn cats that ate out of a community dish) and three interior cats who each and each and every had particular diets. All animals required some type of medication besides. They paid me $450.00 for it clarification for the way many animals, and the certain diets/medical favor. i imagine that seventy 5 money will be lifelike. 3 dogs for 3 days that is 25 money an afternoon, and thinking you'd be feeding them, allowing them to out, strolling them, etc. you're searching at about 8.50 and hour if it takes you 3 hrs. to attempt this. you may want to technically ask extra, yet thinking it is a pal, I evaluate seventy 5 money very much, fantastically with this economic equipment. you also favor to consider how a lot money she makes, and what she is able to paying. If the dogs have habit issues or particular desires, i'd value extra. it actual relies upon on you, and what you imagine some time is nicely worth, and what you're keen to do with the dogs.

Are you staying at the house or only going in to check on the dog?
If you are staying there I would charge $40 a night. If you just go in to check on the dog a couple times a day then $20. Now if the dog needs medication etc. and you are just going in a couple times a day to check and give meds. then maybe charge more.

are they suppling the food?if they are,i would do it for free,it doesn`t take long to walk a dog unless you want to go for a hike.playing with an animal should be a pure joy and if they are a friend then they have mostly likely done something for you that you didnt pay for so why charge them.on the other hand,if you are a school kid and this is for friends of your parents,i would ask my parents if i should charge them.i used to pay my nieces $20.00 a week to let my dog out while i was at work but that was because they were kids,i have never charged my sister and she doesn`t charge me.

I do a lot of pet sitting, and when I have to go to their house, I charge $5.00 a visit. If I bring them to my house (providing they are house broke) I charge $10.00 a day, unless they need special care, then the price is higher
