I wouldn't have thought it would actually lead to fat loss but you would be giving your jaw muscles a good work out.

No.
You lost fat by consuming less calories than you burn. Secondly, you cannot spot reduce.
You are under the impression that doing 1000 crunches (or chewing gum) a day will result in ripped abs (a slim face). 100% fitness myth here and those that buy into that are the ones who buy the worthless fitness gadgets on late night TV.
Chewing gum might exercise the jaw muscles and it'll probably burn a few additional calories, but it is not the end-all answer in terms of weight loss. Only through a healthy diet and exercise yields fat loss.
When you drop weight, your body will consume some of the extra fat, sometimes from your face, othertimes from you abs. But chewing gum, certainly isn't going to get you there.
Until then, use a free website such as http://www.fitday.com to monitor your food intake and calorie expenditures. The weight loss will come.

Not particularly. But the good news is that chewing gum makes you smarter and more alert by increasing the blood flow to the brain.

Baggy clothes hide your system and encourage lounging around. So even when you're relaxing at home, wear fitted clothes to hold you on track.

in general it doesn't work that way. you lose fat all over by exercising at the right level of effort and for the right duration, BUT you lose much more fat by eating right.
