Aside from the fact that there's a lot of money involved when posing nude, sometimes getting into a magazine could rocket your career to great heights.

Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra, Anna Nicole Smith and a ton of other 'celebrities' got famous after posing nude in magazines like Playboy and Penthouse [among others].

Plus, once you're a playboy bunny, you're a sex symbol for life, which means millions of boys out there would probably have your pin up on their dorm walls etc.

So it's like you get a fan following, money, celebrity status [if you're lucky], probably a rich and famous husband [like Tommy Lee for Pam].

I guess it's all about what you value most. Your 'modesty' or material success.

It's really not that hard a question. Women live in a society that places high value on sexuality and appearance, especially femal appearance. Just like a man proudly appears in the pages of Forbes to show off his wealth and business acumen, a woman might proudly appear in Penthouse to show off something else she has that others value. They pose as a form of empowerment (and as a means to an end - they DO get paid).

Should these women feel that their looks are an asset to be exploited just like one's math skills or knowledge of medicine? I have no idea.

For money!!! Most women are introduced to porn whether it be pictures or movies because they need money, and what women doesn't secretly want thousands of men drooling over her? Porn has become such a natural thing these days that most of the food commercials on TV have half naked celebrities selling there food for them, sex sells and that's the way it is today. It sells everything, food, sports, magazines, even lotions and beauty-Ade's. If it bothers you then you don't have to look thought i don't know how you would avoid seeing it as wide spread as it is today.

I suppose evry women has her own reason. I think that some women do that to feel better about themselves, some do it because they look good and dont mind people lookin at thier bodies and may do it cuz it just might be a fun experience....

Many reasons,, $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, to show off the body( if she has a nice body) may be just to do it for the fun of it. I'd do it for all those reasons.
