I have heard that their standards ar not all that good recently. Has anyone flown on the new A340's with SAA recently? How was it?

I have flown a couple of times with SAA and I can tell you this...they're the best. They cater for big sized passengers and I'm a big guy. The seats are more comfortable especially for that long flight. The food is great. South African foods, but they do cater for guests. I flew from Hong Kong to Johannesburg and they had noodles for all the Chinese and Koreans on board as well.

The music is great and you can listen to a wide variety, from pop to rock to South African music. Also the flight attendants are great when it comes to serving. South Africans like to eat good food and drink good wine and such. They do their best to keep all happy.

I've flown other airlines and SAA is by far the best. On other airlines you may miss movies when yhey start screening, but with SAA, you can stop, rewind, forward and so on. Also the kids can see all the latest TV shows and cartoons. It's truly a great experience.

You've heard wrong buddy, SAA is rated one of the best airlines in the world. Oh, my goodness...wonder what first class would be like...

Happy travels!

I am a Zimbabwean I have flown SAA to Cape Town many times and they always smile! I have flown BA too, BA sucks compaired to SAA. I mean BA's food is cold or they run out of what you want their attendants smile but the service makes you frown.
