Yes, the war should stop when the job is done. If the insurgents would just get the heck out of Iraq and calm things down, then we would be able to leave. It's the terrorist insurgents that are keeping us there, nothing else.

Me thinks you should check your spelling, but I suppose you are asking about "stopping" the war in Iraq.
I don't think we should have been in Iraq in the first place, but hindsight as they say is 20/20. I believe Saddam Hussain was an evil man. But so are the rulers of other countries: (Syria, Iran, China) or complete idiotic morons (North Korea)
As for Iraq, we are there. The damage is done. Lets do what we can to help the Iraqi people become the first democratic country in the Arab world. Stop and think of history. Germany, Japan, and Italy were ruled by some evil men, and in Japan's case I am not refering to Hirohito (The Emporer) but to the military establishment that was truely in control. Look at those countries now. They went thru the hell of war and lost. Many millions of lives were lost during that conflict. Did the victor annex those countries? No, they are prosperous and democratic now. Can you imagine Iraq as the Japan of the Middle East? It is up to the people there to stop the terrorists from forcing their will on the population.
If you think that the US is evil and wrong in whats going on over there, you really haven't seen the evil that exists in this world.
I wonder if Iran or Syria should be next?

I wish that war would have never started, and I want it to end as soon as possible. But that is the key word -- possible. When is it possible for us to get out? Many will say, just get out and let the Iraqis deal with it themselves. Well, the problem with that, the Iraqi police and Armed forces are not yet capable to keep things in order. As soon as we would get out of the country, Iraq would be overrun with extremists, and soon another "Saddam", if not worse, would take over. That is not what we lost over 2 1/2 thousand service members for. As much as I hate to admit it, we have to continue until we find a viable solution to the problem. What I do think, that this government underestimated the problem from the get go and is now overwhelmed and neither able nor willing to admit their mistake and find a solution.
I understand, that everyone that is demonstrating against this war, demanding to "Bring Our Boys Home" means well for our service members. However, you shouldn't demand something like that without offering a solution to make it possible for our guys to return, in the same way you shouldn't ay the war was right and should go on until all the bad guy are killed if you're not willing to do your share in the fight.

this is a hard question for me to answer because my brother is in the military and he is getting sent over there at the end of this year. I would like for the war to be over for the sake of my brother. on the new all you hear are soldiers being either blown up or getting captured and becoming POW ( prisoners of war) and I pray for my brother everyday so yes I would like for the war to be over.
