Chinese Herbal Practitioners are great! I've been to one and they really know there stuff. Just make sure you go to one who is reputable, is recognised by the appropriate organisations as a legitimate chinese medicine centre and make sure they use disposable needles for their acupuncture, so as to avoid getting infected with others' blood. You have nothing to lose, go for it. Just make sure that you don't neglect your local General Practitioner either. It's not a risk you should take. But Chinese Medicine is truly genius, you should really give it a go. Make sure you drink enough milk (2 glasses a day). That will solve your calcium and bone aching problems. The chinese practitioners can help you out with the water retention and organs and muscle aches etc... And there are magnesium supplements. Make sure you also exercise. Try yoga. It's a great gentle exercise that is great for the bones and muscles and is great for relieving stress and taking your mind off your problems, you just focus on the exercise. It's great. I can't stress enough, have 2 glasses of milk a day and you really must consult a chinese practitioner, but at the same time, don't neglect your GP. Good Luck!

Ok - find a doctor that will help! How many have you tried? Write some letters! Sounds like you need medical attention.

Serious. Get a friend to call 10 doctors, you call the other 10. Do that every day until you find someone that can help!

I can't imagine what you're going through but I think my friend Debra can. She wrote me her story to share with you.

My road to health has been a long, winding, and very very expensive one. But here’s a summary:

I have had troubles with digestion, ranging from bloating to stomach pain to severe constipation, ever since I was a little kid. But none of that prepared me for the health problems that began in December 1998.

That Christmas season I was startled out of sleep my a stabbing pain in my stomach. Over the next few weeks the pain became more and more frequent. My doctor quickly exhausted all ideas after a barrage of the regular tests. I switched doctors, saw several gastroenterologists and began to seek help from complimentary practitioners. Over the next few years the symptoms worsened rather than eased. The bloating felt like
someone was blowing up an inner tube inside my abdomen. My body became sore to touch in most places. The constipation worsened so that a week or more could go by easily without having a bowel movement. At one point I went w/o for a month and ended up in the hospital.

Eating became a game of Russian roulette, never knowing what would trigger severe pain in my stomach – pain so sharp I would have to lie down immediately and would often have me crying.

By late 2000 the fatigue was almost as debilitating as the pain. I had to pass on almost all social events. My life consisted of work and attending the many appointments I had with specialists, my
acupuncturist, massage therapists, naturopaths, nutritionalists, and various other alternative healers. I faithfully followed every
recommendation given to me. I tried every drug, even if it was
experimental. I was determined to beat this by whatever measures necessary.

I was finally diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome [IBS] by several different Gastrointerologists. I was told by my primary specialist, who was then known to be the most knowledgeable on IBS in Canada, that I was in the top 5 of his worst case patients.

By Jan. of 2001 I had to quit working. At that point the pain was almost unbearable and the fatigue was crippling. I was scared for my future when my specialist told me that his other patients as sick as I am had not been able to return to work.

In three years I had gone from a young woman with an incredibly
successful career, busy social life, vibrant exercise program and
satisfying volunteer commitments to a woman who was bed-ridden and isolated from all I had known. My friends were committed to seeing me, but I was too fragile most of the time to even have visitors. I spent days and weeks being able to do little more than crawl to the bathroom and back to bed. My acupuncturist was a gift from god,and would make house calls when the pain was so sharp I couldn’t move out of bed.
Weekly accupuncture was a huge help with the acute pain, but I still couldn’t find anything to really fix the chronic condition.

After 6 months of being bed-ridden I was able to start some gentle yoga, but even that was not without a great deal of difficulty. Over time I was able to get up and around more, but the pain, bloating, constipation and fatigue never left me.

A year ago I started seeing a M.D. named Cathie Ann Lippmann. She specializes in environmental and chronic illnesses.
Dr. Lippmann determined that on top of IBS I had hypo-thyroid, my adrenal glands were fried, and my immune system was weakened. She treated these and other symptoms as they came up. The whole time I had been seeing her, she kept recommending that I get on a water filtration system made by a company called Nikken. She told me it wouldn’t cure me,
but it would help my body heal itself. I had done enough to turn my life around that my body should be healing. But I had been ill so long my system was acidc. She explained that the body heals itself in an alkaline environment. This was was pure, alkaline and magnetized to make it easier to absorb. Every time she checked me I was dehydrated, which shocked me cause I was drinking over 2 liters of bottled spring water a day. I just couldn’t risk spending any more money on things that weren’t
going to “cure” me. The thought was so overwhelming I would almost cry.

In the past two years I had spent over $20,000 on health care alone and since I hadn’t been working I was going through my savings very quickly.

Then, I was in Toronto this year for Thanksgiving and a friend of mine who I think is the most knowledgeable massage therapist I have ever seen [and I have seen A LOT] recommended the same water system. Again, I felt broke after not being able to work for 2 years and not knowing when I would work again, so I was reluctant. She told me about a sportsbottle also made by Nikken. It was not as complete as the home filtration system, but would make the water better for my body to absorb. Also, I
could just pour tap water into it, so I could use it anywhere. I was
surprized at how expensive it was but decided to give it a try. It
tasted good but I didn’t really notice anything else. Then 3 weeks later I noticed a few things were different.

I could wear my contact lenses all day w/o my eyes drying out, for the first time since I moved to California. I was also no longer getting up 3 – 4 times a night to pee. I realized the water was really being absorbed by my body more effectively than the bottled spring water I was having delivered to my home for $50.00 a month.I decided to buy the home unit.

Immediately after setting up and using the Nikken Aqua Pour system, [nov. 2003], I couldn’t believe the difference in my health. I had so much energy that I went hiking in the mountains 2 days in a row, started walking my dog 4 miles a day, doing a set of 168 steps at the halfway point, having enough energy to shop for groceries, cook and clean my house, and have an active social life for the first time in many years.

In December I started taking the Jade Green Enzymes. Those have regulated my digestion so well that I now have bowel movements every day.

I now use many more Nikken products and have created a “wellness home”. The changes in my husband’s health are also nothing short of remarkable. We both feel younger and more vibrant than we have in years.
