Know where you are going to have problems and find a time when neither of you are defensive and hostile and discuss them. I find that a LOT more gets accomplished toward making a strong relationship when we're both ready to solve a problem and not busy feeling like a victim.

Both must understand their responsibilities and limits too.
One should not cross the limit, the other should not Push to cross the limit.
Respect and allow the required space U both need.
Feel the problems not from Ur point of view , but from the other side too. Then only , U can understand and access the exact situation and resolve issues to safeguard ur relation.

Communication is essential. Being able to openly communicate feelings and to resolve conflicts peacefully. This takes work and well developed communication skills. But, if a couple has these skills then the relationship has a much better chance of lasting.

Trust, communication, compromise! I think compromise is KEY!! You have to meet eachother half way. My husband and I have 2 kids with a BUSY life. We have "date night" one day a month and its amazing what it does for us! Marriage is amazing, but it is also a lot of work. It is worth it though!
