My son FINALLY decided for sure to attend chiro. school this Fall. Will FAFSA want his parents' income info., or his own? If it's too late to do a FAFSA on the web, can he still manually file one?

To be considered a independant for financial aid you need to meet ONE of the following requirements: at least 24 years of age, already has a bachelors degree, is married, has children who receive more than half of the support from him, was an orphan, is a veteran, or is currently on active duty. If he does not meet at least one of these requirements, he is considered an dependant and parent's info must be supplied. The deadline for filing the fafsa is technically June 30, but to receive priority consideration, you must apply by February 15. Both the paper version and web version act as the same deadlines. Hope this helps!

You need to contact the financial aid department of the school he would like to attend. They will want the parents info.

If he lives with you- ie not financially independent- you'll have to list your income(s). As for a deadline for filing it, just go to the website or call financial aid at the college.
