Personally, I don't care if you talk about Jesus until the cows come home. It's your right to believe as you see fit. It annoys me and many other people when Jesus gets brought in to discussions that have nothing to do with him.
If people could learn to leave well enough alone when a subject doesn't require a biblical dissertation, I'd have no problem at all. But, take a look around. Questions here that have absolutely nothing to do with Jesus or Christianity will get at least four or five "answers" telling the asker he or she needs to find Jesus. That goes beyond spreading the word and straight in to obnoxious. If I had answered this question by telling you to find Thor or Odin, you'd be ticked.
It gets to be even more obnoxious when it's a question in another category such as health and the answer is again, "find Jesus." I'm sorry to be the one to point this out, but Jesus is not going to help somebody lose weight or quit smoking or balance their finances. It's an appropriate answer when the person is actively seeking information on Christianity. It is not appropriate when they aren't. Saying you're just doing as you're commanded doesn't make it any better considering not every Christian interprets it that way.
In short, some of us don't want a sermon. When we do, we'll ask for one. When we don't we'd like that to be respected. In turn, we won't tell you to scrap Christianity and discover the wonders of Kali when you ask a biblical question.
Actually, and I'm going wordy here, it's an across the board issue. Rabid Christians tell us to find Jesus, rabid Atheists tell us all we're nuts, rabid Muslims tell us all to convert. It happens to all of us and some people need to learn self control.

Do you really believe that crazy bible story about the pregnant girl and all that? Really? How can a realistic, reasonable person actually believe that? You can believe what you want to, but the only two times I have ever been cheated out of money were by men who told me they were Christians. Somehow that makes sense, but you can't expect people to suspend reason so they can go to a heaven, that doesn't exist, or burn in hell...that doesn't exist. You don't need a reason to be a good person. You don't need to be threatoned with hell to know right from wrong.
As far as being angry, I don't get that either. Why bother? Those folks are as lost as the Christians.
You need to get your mind off the afterlife and make the world a better place right here and now. It seems like people just give up on being here and just talk about being there. And I hope tha tyour heaven is there for you, but you might not get in if you don't do it right here.

When we (christians) read a question that challenges our faith, our gut instinct is to react defensivley. If we do this in a fashion that puts down anothers religion, it angers others. We as christians need to becom open minded folks that love and accept the others, no matter how wrong theyare. If they ask for a christian opinion on a subject, it is best we giva a christian opinion. But if they ask a question that is pointed towards fulfilling their knowledge, and all we talk about is haow jesus is the way to god, they will get angry. Just like if we were to post a question regarding a certain character in the bible, and an athiest answered with a response like "he didnt exist, the bible is a work of fiction", we would get upset. If our answers upset other people of different faiths, then we obviously arent sharing god's love the way we should be. My advice to you would be that if you come across a question about something that is against you religion, simply ignore it. The poster is on his way to discovering the truth, and us shoving it down his throat will not help him get there, and it may even deter him from God. So, do your best not to step on other's toes, and find a way to subtly speak of christ in your answers. It's the little things that will lead them to christ. The worst thing a missionary can do is to upset the mission.
Peace to you, and may god bless you and your family.

The main reason people get upset is the fact that they have been brainwashed by the churches before the word of GOD has had time to sink in. If you look back you'll see all sorts of docturines that hold back the spirit from the true bliss of a relationship with GOD. As an example look at gen 1;1.
To me it is a done deal, right there , all done. What one has to do is look at what was not written in between the verses.
GOD is ,was and always will be almighty.
Read about the fall of man and ask yourself when the serpert entered the garden with his minions. I believe the war in heaven took place after 1;1 and just before 1;2 . Hold on , because this also supports the evotution theory as well , as the universes we see are still changeing, forning, and ending.
enough about this , just remember to hold the truth and realize that not all people like to be woken up to reality

I can tell you why people get angry, even though I devotely believe in Jesus and know the passage you are quoting. It is because people have to "come to believe". You can pray that God will keep knocking on their door. If they seem interested you can speak to them about it. The most important part is to be the example. Have a life they would want to have. Pushing or making people to feel "less than" because they don't see things your why will only push them farther away. Love and compassion are far more powerful than fear and insults. When I read about what Jesus said and how he lived I have never heard anything but compassion. It is the Holy Spirit that comes to someone and changes their heart. Like the song "Amazing Grace". People can be blind and then through the Holy Spirit they see. Pray for them but don't put them down. They still have a right to be loved and respected.

Because the basic premise of Christianity is false. Jesus came to this world not to show us that we can have eternal life but that we already do. Saved from what? God loves all of His children and has given them free choice.
Christians come along and say in effect: "Your choices are wrong. You are not following the only way. There is something wrong with you. If you do not agree with what I and other Christians say, you are condemning yourself to eternal Hell." It does not matter how this message is phrased or the softness or hardness of the sales pitch.
Shaskespeare hinted at the vastness of God's creation(both physical and spiritual) when he said: There are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in you philosophy... Truer words were never spoken.
Here's the rub. People have experiences, are exposed to various modes of thought, etc. and some of these "speak" to them, i.e. seem real to them. This is not delusion, it is subconscious recognition(don't get technical on me here). There is nothing more real than the awareness of what each soul already knows. It is the EMOTION that comes with this realization that makes it real, not the logic of it nor the written words of others. That emotion is pure joy and it is energizing. Once a person has this "spark", nothing can diminish it. With this awareness comes the realization that others are free to choose their own way and discover their own "spark".
There are many paths to travel but in the end we will all end up in the arms of God.
Relax, God does not use a scorecard and does not judge.

People have been angry about that since Jesus. That will not change. We also are not here to shove the Word down the throats of others. That will not make others want to find out what Salvation is all about. Pray. Pray for all. Keep spreading the Gospel. Let those who have an ear, hear.

I don't believe that people actually get angry so much 'that you're speaking the truth' as they do about 'being told your opinion is the only right one and theirs doesn't matter'. Even if it's true, it's so against human nature to listen to someone else without getting to voice their own beliefs. Also, when we share about God with others, we are often demeaning everything the person is living for...everything about their lifestyle, their coping strategies, their priorities, etc. Salvation aside, these people that are being targeted to be saved are simply acting like any of us do in a situation that shoots down every utter thing about us. I'm speaking scientifically here...about the human species, and how we interact in our society, and in our cultures. Religious salvation attempts tend to cross over all of the rules of ethics.
I have found that one of the best ways to convince people about something you know to be true is to live by it and model it respectfully, and according to the ethics we accept in our country. Use judgement, criticism, force, control, or self-righteousness, and we're going to get a shield in our faces. Can't blame em.

Nowadays, people dont want to hear the truth because they are caught on what society sayd or thinks. The Pharisee got mad at Jesus because because He spoke the truth and not of what thier tradition taught them. Keep speaking the truth. Jesus said it beat in Revelation2:7 Him who have a ear let him hear.......Yes that why God blesses us so that he can get the Glory so that people will knw that His IS real and ALIVE/ Testify and live for Jesus
God Bless

2 Peter 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
Ephesians 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Don't worry about those who get angry...the same thing happened during Jesus' ministry...
I think Jesus says it best and this is good advice to follow...
Matthew 10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
