I think that you two could be friends, but don't let it go any further then that, because if I was your best-friend and I found out that my ex and my best-friend were trying to hook up I would drop the both of you like a hot potato. You should just think about it like what if you and the boy did hook up and you and your friend did not talk anymore because what you did and sooner or later you and the boy broke up? You would have lost your friendship with your best-friend for nothing! So think about it.

He is ur best friend's Ex Boyfriend. What made him Ex. ? Whom do you feel is wrong for that Ur friend or this guy?

U like him, So U feel he likes you too. Can a relation build up on assumption ? And If he becomes Ex to U too how would U control Urself ?

U R your best judge, analyse all these questions in your mind and then take your proper decesion.

Just get strong enough to take correct decesion. If it hurts Ur mind, still then , U have to take correct decesion.

Went through this exact same scenerio 20 years ago. Went out with the guy 1 time and knew I valued my friendship more. My best friend and I are still friends, neither of us knows or cares where the guy is.

Guess it depends if you want to keep your best friend. Mine told me that this was the one thing I did that truly hurt her and that she still thinks about it.

This could be a problem, you need to see how your friend feels about it. One way to see how she feels about it is bring up the subject of him, say hey I seen him the other day and see what she has to say. If that doesn't work, just be blunt with her and tell her that you are interested in him and your not asking for approval just wanted her to be aware of this so it doesn't freak her out. But let her know I don't know what he thinks of yet. Good luck.

how ex? How long have they been broke up? If you are friends you should just be able to ask her how she feels about you going out with her ex bf. But from experience, its usually not a good idea to date ex's of your friends, something always comes out of it. and you usually end up losing both of them. But then again, you should do what makes you happy not what is good for others.

well... the first thing to do is ask your friend if its ok to date him. if she say it's ok, then go ahead. but if she say its not ok, you know what you have to do. it's not worth of dumping your bestfriend for a guy. except if you going to marry the guy.

this happend to me before, you know. i have a crush on my bestfriend ex-bf which became my bf after i tell my friend.
