Neither one on its own,a little of both. You noticed I answered the question and did not cut and paste a lot of stuff that had nothing to do with it.

I don't think you have to choose one or the other, they work hand in hand. A traditional supporter of evolution believes that humans evolved from single cell organisms. If you look further back the Earth itself was evolved as particles were drawn into its gravitational pull. These particles may have come from the Big Bang, which in itself was the point of creation. There was nothing, and then there was something.
From a creationist view point, assuming Genesis to be true in a literal sense (and I personally believe it is entirely figurative as nearly every society in history has had a similar creation myth intended to answer questions that at that time were unanswerable) and God put humans on Earth, as a species we have evolved to our current state. This has been shown with various insects, birds, viruses that have been thoroughly researched and tested. One evolutionary fact with humans it that as a race we used to be of a much shorter average height. Doorways in houses that are hundreds of years old are about 5 feet. Now they are usually 7 feet. These examples show that evolution and creation both exist no matter what way you look at it, and it is not a matter of believing in one or the other.

This question forces a choice between things where no choice is needed. It could be both. Why not let science explain what it explains best (the physical world) and let religion explain what it explains best (the spiritual world and how we can best live our lives)?

It is a fact that species change. To deny it is to deny genetics. Consider the changes in domestic animals and crops through breeding programs in only a short time. The fossil record will never be complete, but even a few dated fossils illustrate that creatures have also changed through longer periods of time.

Of course one has to believe that there has been enough time for species to change as much as the fossil record illustrates. It would take much more than the 6,000 years that some proclaim as the age of the earth. This young age was "determined" by one man--Bishop Usher--who counted generations listed in the Bible and who believed that the Bible's generation records are complete from Adam and Eve forward. To believe that the earth is only 6,000 years old, one has to believe that fossils were fabricated by God and that either the science of aging fossils, rocks, and other items is wrong or that the age of all these things is falisified by God. God may be mysterious, but is He so deceptive? If He is so deceptive, then could we trust any evidence or any word that He may have left for us about anything?

After an accident in 1988, I had an Near Death Experience (NDE). I asked the entity I was communicating with that very same question! However, I constructed the question differently. I asked, "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?" Here was the response and I might add it was responded to with a bit of laughter in the tone.

"It all depends upon which side of the fence you're on. If you believe in creation, you will choose the chicken. If you are an evolutionist, you will choose the egg."

What I understood this to mean is that it really doesn't matter once you're out of this reality. You understand everything perfectly, and it really all makes sense.

Think of Bird Flu. scientists are waiting for the virus to mutate (or evolve) right now making the potentially deadly mutation that will pass from human to human. Evolution didn't stop - it goes on constantly around us.

Most species that have ever been are extinct right now, and new ones in time will take their place.

We place way to much importance on the human animal. Wasn't long ago humans worshiped the sun, the moon, all kinds of things in nature they did not understand. Just because we do not understand something, doesn't mean that it is Divine - just means we aren't smart enough, or evolved enough to.

evolution, no doubt. it is very funny that in this day and age , people are so ignorant about the facts of science, the history of archeological findings . And the state of knowledge of man kind
religions can only be ok if we live in a secular world , that is separate church and state, it is the only path for human survival , now you want to believe in a creator , that is your business , but don’t shove it down my throat . the risk of being so dogmatic about a particular belief ( including atheism) is that you believe you are right and the rest of religions are wrong , that sets you at odds with so many people including our own religion ( there are so many sects in each). this is how wars start , how people can kill people in the name of god, now if there is a god ( I am not saying there isn’t) would he like us to be at each others thoughts . Secularism is the only path to peace , and as such evolution is the answer

None of them. Both theories consider time to be linear. Actually, time is cyclical, thus predestined. Therefore, there is no need for a "creation" or "the explosion." What was there before the explosion? how did it get there? Creationism always points the finger to God for lack of reasons. God exists, but He did not create the world. That is not His task. "Matter cannot be created neither destroyed." (Remember that law?)

Dude, you ask this question every day. I'm starting to think that you're not very strong in your own convictions.
The answer will always be the same.
Evolution is God's creation. He is still working.
Now, what was is that you believe?

I respect both. Thats the key. If God left all of the answers to creationism to be explained by the scientific world, people would beleive in him because of science and not because of faith. Creationist should quit trying to force the science world to see things their way.

Evolutionist try to explain the world using the physical evidence around them. There is no concrete repeatable way to measure or observe God. Therefore you can't use Him in your world explaination.

Creationist have been giving the story that evolutionist are trying so hard to piece together so they should be happy with that.

Evolution is not happening anymore?

Okay, next time you go to the doctor for an immunization, ask them for the antibody from 50 years ago, instead of the evolved version.

We'll see how well that works...
